Here's a short bio:
I grew up just outside
the tiny village of Saxapahaw, in North Carolina. My family consisted of my parents, an older brother,
and younger sister. Our home was in the country, next to my grandparents' farm. Living there was great!
My grandfather owned fifty-five acres of woodland and meadows. A branch of the Haw River ran right
through his property. Summers were a delight. Swimming in the creek, having picnics, playing with
my many cousins, using abandon buildings for all sorts of madeup adventures, sitting in the front porch
swing with my grandmother, eating Dixie cookies and drinking RC cola. I grew up and became an elementary
school teacher. I taught for thirteen years. It was during this time that I began to think I'd like
to try my hand at writing. After I left teaching, I had several part-time jobs that allowed me to have
more time to devote to a writing career. Now I write full-time and love it! I live with my husband,
Richard, and our two dogs, Dixie and Jessie, on a small unpopulated lake, outside Reidsville, North Carolina.
We have all kinds of wildlife to observe: deer, beaver, otter, heron, ducks, and even the occasional
eagle. So that's my story!
